Dorothy Aristide is the Founder, President, and Executive Director of IFundAyiti, bringing a unique blend of lived experience, business acumen, and community-driven advocacy to the organization. Born in Haiti and migrating to the United States at the age of eight, Dorothy possesses a profound, lifelong connection to the culture, challenges, and economic potential of her homeland. Driven by this deep personal history, she established IFundAyiti to empower local communities by providing critical micro-grants to entrepreneurs and small businesses in Haiti.As Executive Director, Dorothy leads the organization's daily operations, strategic program development, and global fundraising initiatives. Her visionary mission is backed by a degree in Business Management, providing both the executive team and the board with advanced expertise in strategic planning, operational efficiency, and fiscal governance. She ensures that every dollar raised directly fuels sustainable economic growth and self-reliance for Haitian entrepreneurs."I believe that the true engine of Haiti’s future lies in the hands of its local entrepreneurs and small business owners. She uniquely leverages her perspective as a proud member of the Haitian diaspora to champion scalable economic empowerment and build long-term institutional health for IFundAyiti.As the driving force behind this newly established organization, Dorothy is currently focused on securing foundational partnerships and launching IFundAyiti's inaugural micro-grant cycle. Looking ahead, her strategic roadmap includes expanding grant access to underserved rural and agricultural communities, alongside developing a business mentorship network to ensure long-term success for every grant recipient.

Caridad Peralta

Treasurer

Caridad Peralta serves as the Treasurer of IFundAyiti, bringing a strong background in sociology, management, and community engagement to the organization. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Sociology, which has deepened her understanding of society, human behavior, and the diverse communities that shape our world.Born and raised in New York City, Caridad has been surrounded by a wide range of cultures and perspectives throughout her life. These experiences have shaped her belief in the importance of diversity, advocacy, education, and community. Her commitment to serving others is also reflected in her experience volunteering with various organizations, schools, and hospitals.Throughout her professional career, Caridad has managed multiple projects and companies, developing valuable skills in leadership, organization, relationship-building, and financial responsibility. As Treasurer of IFundAyiti, she will draw on this experience to help maintain strong and professional relationships with the organization's partners while supporting responsible management and distribution of funds throughout the community.Caridad believes that strong communities are built through education, advocacy, integrity, and opportunity. She brings these values into her work with IFundAyiti, while her background in Sociology provides a unique perspective on the people and communities the organization serves.Outside of her work, Caridad enjoys expressing her creativity through coloring, bedazzling, and arts and crafts with her daughter. She also enjoys reading and journaling. Naturally curious, she loves researching and learning about new topics, a quality that continues to enrich both her personal growth and her work with IFundAyiti.
